Top 8 apps every Mom needs now!
This is a screen shot from my phone to show the actual app icons.
I use my phone for everything as we all do. Recently I noticed that my phone was almost full. So to fix this problem I decided to check out what apps I had installed. WOW I had a lot of apps. Most of which I don't even use. If you have to scroll across your phone through more than 4 pages of apps, you have too many lol. Most of the apps I have on my phone, I don't even use. I decided to make a list of the "Top 8 apps every Mom needs now!" I figure, if this helps at least one Mom clean out her phone space and save some money, I've succeeded. All the apps below are FREE.
1. Ebates: This is one of the most important apps you can use. If you ever buy anything online you will get cash back with this app. You can even pay online and pick up in store. This is a must have this holiday season.
2. Snip Snap: This is one of the best coupon apps. You can search tons of coupons for every store you shop at. Simply show the coupon on your phone at checkout and you receive the discount. Really simple.
3. Shopular: This app has all the local store ads in one place. You can browse sales all from the comfort of your living room in your PJ's.
4. Shopkick: This app gives you "check in" points and scanning points while you are in a store. You can convert your points to giftcards. It's really easy and can pay off quickly. I have my kids scan products while I'm in the store. They love having a job to do and we earn points while they do it.
5. Ibotta: This is a great way to save even more money on the stuff you already buy. It's like a rebate program but without the complicated submissions. It's easy to use. All you have to do is scan the item and your receipt to receive your rebate. Once the items and receipt are verified, you get your cash. Simpy let your cash add up you can turn it into a gift card of your choice.
6. Groupon: This one is great to have on hand. I check it before we go out to dinner or family outing. They always have great deals on places we were planning on visiting anyhow. The Groupon deals are my favorite. Every once in a while, you will find a $10.00 Starbucks card for only $5.00. You can only buy one but it's a 50% savings so it's worth it.
7. Livingsocial: This is almost as good as Groupon. I got it because I found that if Groupon doesn't have it Livingsocial will. It has great local deals and it's easy to use.
8. RetailMeNot: I use this app last to find a coupon to the store I'm shopping at. They don't have a ton of current coupons but if you can't find it at Snip Snap, they will have it.

Stuffed with family during Thanksgiving.
As we are quickly approaching Thanksgiving my anxiety level is increasing day by day. We always host the holidays at our house. That was my idea from many years ago. I like to have people over. I enjoy the sights and smells of the holidays. However, each year brings another problem from someone in the family. It's becoming more and more stressful. I feel like it should be fun and relaxing. I don't know why some people have to make it so hard. Really it's my in laws. They drive me crazy. They have two grown kids. One of which I am married to and the other, his brother who is the "baby" of the family. By "baby" I mean they treat him like a baby. Yes, still even though he is in his late 30's. Their world revolves around him and makes everyone else crazy. I'm constantly being told what he likes to eat or how we have to wait for him to arrive before we eat. It's ridiculous. The way I look at it, if your not here when dinner is served...............too damn bad. If I made something you don't like to eat........ don't eat it. It's pretty simple. It's my day off from work and I want to enjoy my time with my family. I can't be ridiculed by my mother in law for another holiday. She picks at everything I do. I can't stand the stress. I'm currently avoiding them so Thanksgiving dinner doesn't get brought up. I'm secretly hoping they have other plans. Thanksgiving is a day to be thankful for everything. Let's not focus on the negative.
Am I the only one who feels like this?

Christine Brecht is my favorite BB16 house guest.
I attended the meet and greet with Christine Brecht last night. It was held at Epicenter Church of Tucson. It's tucked into the art buildings downtown. We parked and walked towards the metal staircase that leads to the church. The outside of the building is covered with beautiful paintings that give the look of graffiti. You should check this church out sometime.
Upon entering the church we noticed it wasn't just a church. It's a gorgeous vintage industrial building. The walls are decorated with local art, the floors are the original wood, the pipes and electrical are exposed and the pews are pushed aside to allow room for the Big Brother fans to hang out with Christine. As we walked up we saw Tim Stine her husband sitting at a table accepting donations and selling t-shirts and photographs. He was greeting everyone with a smile. We purchased a photo and he thanked us for coming in. We then headed over to the crowd of people standing in front of Christine. We stood towards the back to give others room. Christine was answering questions and sharing stories from her time in the Big Brother house. She was very attentive with everyone. A few minutes into us standing in line a man approached us. He told us that we could just get her attention and ask her to sign our picture. He explained that there wasn't really a line. We continued talking to him as we inched forward. Turns out he was Christine's Dad. He proudly shared a few stories with us. He talked about how good of a kid Christine is. He is very proud of her. You can see why she's so nice. So before we headed over to meet Christine we asked to get a picture with him. He was flattered and said yes. We each took a picture with him.
I felt that it was important to blog about meeting them after all the negative things I've seen people write about them. After watching the promos for BB16 we were instantly excited to see someone from Tucson, Arizona get onto Big Brother. Usually only Phoenix gets on the map. Tucson is considered large by most but if you have lived here your whole life you know it's actually pretty small. It's hard to go anywhere without running into someone you know. We all thought it was pretty cool that a girl from Tucson, AZ would be on TV. I couldn't wait for the show to start. She was our favorite from the start. Now that we met her we know that we made the right choice. She's the best.
Thank you Christine and Tim for taking time to hang out with us fans and making Tucson proud. You guys are awesome!

We told him that we had been fans for a very long time and he said that this was actually his first year watching it. Of course he watched it, his daughter was on it. After a few minutes he walked away to play with his two adorable grandsons. They were there to support Christine too. Very cute kids who have excellent names. Christine's family was proudly watching her from the back, smiling and waving when she glanced up. She took time with each and every person who came to see her. She answered every question, signed each t-shirt and photograph with a personal note and posed for pictures. I don't think she realized how happy people were to finally meet her after watching her this summer. The dynamic between Tim and her was fun to watch. They really love each other. Each of them are equally proud of each other. Tim had a smile on his face the whole time and he was proudly looking on while Christine met with admiring fans. He eagerly jumped in when someone wanted a pic with the two of them. They have a great bond and you can see that when you meet them.
Both Christine and Tim gladly signed my lunch box!
She posed for a picture with Alyssa.
I got a picture too.
Oh and meeting Tim was just as cool. He spent a half an hour talking to us. I of course asked him his opinion about the "Sonic Highways" album since he's a musician. He has to get back to me on that after he hears the whole album. We can't wait to catch one of his shows. He posed for pictures with both of us. Check out that smile, what a great guy!
Thank you Christine and Tim for taking time to hang out with us fans and making Tucson proud. You guys are awesome!

Your past does not dictate your future.
As we grow older we start to reflect on our past. You can either continue being a victim or choose to be a survivor. Stop focusing on those terrible memories from your past. They are in the past for a reason. Leave them there. They are just a reminder of how far you come. Smile at the memories and be proud of yourself. You made it this far, now the sky's the limit. You are in charge of your destiny. Your past does not dictate your future. Your past was only a lesson and now you get to use that lesson to make your life better.
Smile and be happy, you got this!

*Review of Foo Fighters Sonic Highways Album
Album cover |
I pre-ordered the new Foo Fighters album "Sonic Highways" because I'm a huge fan of their music. I've watched every episode of "Sonic Highways" on HBO. I love learning about the history of songs and how they were written. I decided to pre-order the album and have it shipped to my house. It was delivered today, right on schedule! I opened the package, added it right to my iTunes collection and hit play. only a few seconds into Track 1. Something from nothing and I was hooked. I decided to listen to the whole album and review it. It has 8 tracks totaling 43 minutes. I love most of the songs but not a huge fan of "I am a river". I'm sure after I listen to it more I will enjoy it. It's the only song on the album that I think sounds "popish" I'm not saying it's bad, it just sounds more main stream and not alternative. My favorite is Track 1. Something from nothing. I feel like a lot of people will relate to this song. Of course Track 2. The feast and the famine is typical Foo Fighters and quickly reminds us why we love them so. Then there is Track 3. Congregation Wow they blew me away with this one. I could listen to this track over and over. I would say that this album is one of their top three. Listening to Foo Fighters will never get old. Below is the track list and then my favorites in order from favorite to least favorite. I highly suggest you go out and buy this album. You don't want to be the only person on the planet without one. Thank you Foo Fighters for raising the bar for all the other bands. You guys kick ass!

Great deal on this Go Pro accessory kit
This is an awesome combo kit filled with 33 accessories for GoPro HERO3+,GoPro HERO3,GoPro HERO2 and GoPro HERO Cameras. This would make a great gift to give along with their first Go Pro.
FREE shipping on Little Tikes products
Little Tikes is offering FREE shipping on their website right now. I love Little Tikes and I was so excited to share this great deal. Little Tikes toys last forever. They are easy to clean and you can pass them down from child to child. As a parent who has owned several of their products, I can say they are fantastic. I've never had a problem with anything from Little Tikes.
This was my daughters first Little Tikes ride on. She learned to walk with it, pushed her dolls on it and coasted down the driveway with it. After years of her and the neighborhood children playing on the only thing you would notice about it was the dirty wheels. Otherwise, it looked like the day we bought it. I am very impressed with Little Tikes products.
They also have a great birthday bonus program. If you sign up prior to your child's birthday they will send you a discount off your purchase. It's FREE to join and that discount will make your purchase even more affordable. Click HERE to join now.
